MvVO Art Launches AD ART SHOW

Jay Johnson Armstrong Goes For His Dream

Jay Johnson Armstrong Goes For His Dream

Deloris Van Cartier (Whoopi Goldberg) once taught Jay Johnson Armstrong the meaning of the word eclectic. His show at Feinstein’s/54 Below he hopes will end with a live album. This is the culmination of 28 years of the music that has become the soundtrack to his life. Jay Armstrong Johnson has wowed Broadway audiences in On The Town (Chip), Hands on a Hardbody (Greg) and Catch Me If You Can. A national tour of A Chorus Line, led to a Broadway debut as Claude in Hair when he was 21. He recently made my network television debut as Dr. Will Olsen on ABC’s primetime drama QUANTICO.

Johnson will be joined by a full all-star band and will perform songs from Broadway to radio pop to gospel with fresh arrangements. Expect everything from Sondheim to Dixie Chicks! The band features Rodney Bush, Trey Ware, Allison Seidner, Kiku Enumoto, Micah Burgess, Josh Plotner, and Mark Van Ziegler. His special guests include Lindsay Mendez (Wicked, Dogfight) and Billy Lewis Jr. (Glee) join Jay for all 3 performances. Youtube sensation Todrick Hall will make a special appearance on April 30..

When Broadway’s Supper Club, Feinstein’s 54 Below, asked him to do a solo concert, he took it as the perfect opportunity to make this dream a reality by recording the concert in a full length LIVE ALBUM. To help with that you can go to his Indidgogo page.
You can catch his show at 7pm April 27th, 29th and 30th at Feinstein’s/54 Below.
