Stars in the Alley, produced by The Broadway League and represented by Charlotte St. Martin and Tom Schumacher was a hit. The show was sponsored by United Airlines, celebrated the end of the 2017-2018 Broadway season, leading up to the 2018 Tony Awards on June 10, 2018. The event consists of performances from over 20 musicals, including shows from this past season, as well as numbers from current long-running shows, all accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra.

Alex Newell, from Glee and Once On This Island, hosted this year’s free outdoor Stars in the Alley concert June 1 at 1 PM in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.
Alex Boniello, currently starring as Connor Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen, served as a backstage correspondent, covering the event live on The Broadway League’s Twitter and Instagram.
The celebration started off with “On Broadway from Beautiful : The Carole King Musical. Sidney DuPont, Douglas Lyons, Paris Nix and Nicholas Ryan showed their moves. Upcoming Beautiful star Melissa Benoist, also orginally from Glee joined in the fun.
Joshua Henry stripped down “June is Busting Out All Over” and “If I Loved You” from Carousel.
The cast of Come From Away, featuring Chad Kimball and Jenn Collella showed they were still islanders in “Welcome to the Rock”.
Waitress’ Katharine McPhee showed why she is a star in “What Baking Can Do.”
From the hit show Dear Evan Hansen Will Rolland, Michael Lee Brown and Alex Boniello proved they were “Sincerely Me”.
Taylor Louderman and Kyle Selig in “Someone Gets Hurt” proved Mean Girls, defiantly is a sexy endeavor.
