Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth invited the press as she prepared for her upcoming one women Broadway show. My Love Letter to Broadway will open at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre November 2-13. This adorable bundle of energy just released her new album, The Art of Elegance September 23.
My Love Letter to Broadway is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander, with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and costume design by Christian Siriano.
Chenoweth earned a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award in 1999 for her performance as Sally in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She won the hearts of the world with her “Popular” performance as the original Glinda in the hit musical, Wicked. Most recently she was seen on Broadway in the 2015 revival of On the Twentieth Century, for which she received a Drama Desk Award and a Tony nomination. Other Broadway performances include of Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree, and Promises, Promises.
Her television credits include Glee, The West Wing, Pushing Daisies (for which she won an Emmy Award), and the Disney Channel original movie Descendants, among others. She will costar in the upcoming live television broadcast of Hairspray on December 7th.
