Let The Art Battle Begin

Wednesday July 5th brought Art Battle® and 24 Artists into the spotlight. Over the next week: 12 in New York City starting this Friday night at (Le) Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street. Doors at 6pm. Painting starts at 7pm. Cash bar, silent auction follow. The 12 next Tuesday in Los Angeles are Boomtown Brewery, 600 Jackson Street. Doors 7pm. Cash bar, silent auction. held at . Each night the audience will vote to choose the winner across 3 rounds of live painting. The winner of each event will move on to compete in City Finals with a chance to qualify for the 2018 US National Championship.

Art Battle is a series of worldwide events that form an international live painting tournament. Each event celebrates artistic excellence and invites audiences to share in the creative process while mixing in the adrenaline of competition. Through voting, the audience chooses their Champion, and their representation on the world stage. Recent international events have been held in Amsterdam, Genoa Italy, Tokyo, Sau Paulo and Manila.

The Featured Artists this week in New York are: Cameron McCool, Scott Walker, ANJL, Jak Ruiz, Jess Kirkman, Jaehoon Lee, Mariyah Tareen, Memi Nojiri, Ben Angotti and Mona Eliceiry.

The Features Artists next week in Los Angeles: Amanda Harris, Art Barbie, Bamboo, Bishop, Chris, Aubrey, Frida Davidsson, Jason aka recluse, Maria Barrera-Rojas, Michael Alatorre, Michelle Guerrero, Samantha mousser, Sany Claude Cesar, Terry Wayne

“The artists are amazing coast-to-coast, I couldn’t pick just one, that’s the audience’s job”, Chris Pemberton, Art Battle International Co-Founder and Host of this week’s NYC event. Competitor Mona Eliceiry says she’s competing because “I saw it in another city and wanted to feel the rush, the crowd, the countdown, the creation.”

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
