Claudine, Van Den Bergh is the principal dancer of the most famous cabaret in the world! Claudine has been performing for the last 7 years, on the stage of the world famous Moulin Rouge.

Born in Dublin, Claudine, has been passionate about dance since her childhood. She started dancing when she was 2 and has not stopped since. Her parents encouraged her to reach her dream. Her dream came true when she passed a four hour audition in Paris in 2012. Under the expert eyes of Janet Pharaoh, Moulin Rouge’s Artistic Director. Her flawless dance technique, her size (5’8 minimum for the Moulin Rouge, 5’10 for Claudine), her beauty and her high degree of professionalism enabled her to be selected to join its cast of 60, who come from 14 different countries.

Thanks to her dancing skills, her great personality and charisma, Claudine made it to the top in 2017 and was promoted to principal dancer.
“Becoming Moulin’s principal for me has been my greatest achievement to date. Dance has always been my passion and it’s an honour to be a principal in a company with such history and prestige. Performing on stage is where I feel at home!”

Her little sister Isabelle (22) passed the audition in 2015 and is now performing with her on the Moulin Rouge’s mythical stage!

Claudine’s, aim is to bring a different quality to each number and enjoys adding different personalities to each part.

The Moulin Rouge, which was created in 1889 will celebrate on October 6th its 130th anniversary!

Their current show “Féerie”, involves 60 artists, 1000 costumes of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, sumptuous settings in shimmering colours, a 40 tonne-water aquarium and the famous French Cancan.
