On Friday, April 12th at 2:00 PM over at the Robin Williams Center, 247 West 54th Street, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and Broadway World will host the cast of the new Broadway musical The Prom. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation and Broadway World have partnered for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen.
The Q&A will be with Richard Ridge from Broadway World and the cast and creators of Broadway Musical The Prom and include: Matthew Sklar -Music, Chad Beguelin -Lyrics & Book, Bob Martin – Book, and Cast Members Brooks Ashmanskas, Beth Leavel, Christopher Sieber, and Angie Schworer
The Prom is the joyous Broadway hit about big Broadway stars, a small town, and a love that unites them all.
With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls, The Book of Mormon), a book by Tony Award winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and four-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin), music by Tony Award nominee Matthew Sklar (Elf), lyrics by four-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin and based on an original concept by Jack Viertel, The Prom opened to rave reviews on Thursday, November 15 at the Longacre Theatre and is sure to be a Tony contender. Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
