Meet The Drama Desk Nominees: Part 2 Laura Osnes

Laura Osnes after winning NBC’s reality show Grease: You’re the One That I Want! was cast as Sandy in Grease’s 2007 Broadway revival. From there she was in the revival of Anything Goes with Sutton Foster and Bonnie in the short lived Bonnie and Clyde a New Musical. she would eventually go on to star in the Original Broadway Cast of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. 

Osnes is back on Broadway as war-widow Julia Trojan in Bandstand, the new musical about a group of World War II veterans who returned from war and start a band to try to win a radio contest has earned her a Drama Desk nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Osnes, stars with Corey Cott (Newsies).

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret, opera and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. She has a screenplay and a TV show in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
