Nadia Asencio is a first-generation Cuban-American actor, author of “Politiquette: The People’s Guide to Political Discourse in the New Millennium,” and playwright CHEESECAKE, Homage (9:27) and Fish Feathers. Residing in NYC Ms. Asencio freelance writer and prior US Army National Guard service member (Military Intelligence Analyst) with a BA in International Relations and Economics from Florida International University. Her essays on foreign relations, domestic policy, and socio-political commentary have been featured on Daily Kos, HubPages, Medium.com, and Intersections.org.
Her passion for theatre, film, and the written word springs from her firm belief that the free and fearless exchange of ideas and perspectives is paramount to a progressive and just society, and nowhere is that more prevalent than in the performing arts.
She is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), The Dramatists Guild, the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and The Players Club, NYC.
