Meet the Playwrights of WinterFest: Irwin Nayman Is Into Family Dynamics

Irwin Nayman, plays have been included in major New York City festivals, as well as various venues such as Theater Row, the theater at Baruch College, and the American Theater of Actors. Having studied at Brooklyn College and Kansas State University, Mr. Nayman has earned a BA and a MS degrees. He continued his studies of playwriting at HB Studio and the Simon Studio.

His play Family Dynamics, follows Nancy’s journey in her moments of grief and confusion. This recent widow agreees to move in with her daughter Michelle and Michelle’s family. In addition to mourning her husband, Nancy mourns the loss of her New York apartment and her independence. She planned to travel with her husband to South Africa and will now make the trip to honor him. But Nancy has noticed her family is less than perfect and must “fix” these problems before she can leave. Secrets are revealed and alliances are formed as Nancy “helps” the family. Will Nancy be able to fulfill her husband’s wish? The family will first have to survive a loving mother and grandmother.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog. She was the Broadway Informer on the all access cable TV Show “The New Yorkers,” soon to be “The Tourist Channel.” email:
