
20 Million Women Strong (#20MWS), a grassroots movement of organizations to uplift and amplify women’s voices around the world as one, is presenting two special official “Global Action Day” events to bring awareness to the United Nations (U.N.) Universal Children’s Day on November 20, 2019.

The community is invited to bring their children to this wonderful global celebration of our Children in NYC, as we raise awareness of the U.N. Declaration of Children’s Rights and celebrate our beloved and deserving children and young adults who will inherit the fruits of our labor.
20millionwomenstrong.org will present “Lift Every Voice – In Love We Rise”, the official United Nations Universal Children’s Day of Observance program in New York City, NY hosted by Middle Collegiate Church “Just Arts Cafe” – located at 112 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003 onWednesday November 20th from 7- 8:30p.m.
The ceremony will present a musical tribute to our children of the world from Tony Award-Winner Melba Moore and Grammy nominated singer Maimouna Youssef our 20 Million Women Strong Global Goodwill Ambassadors, American Idol finalist – The Juggernaut War Party with Qaasim and Khalil Middleton, and 12-year-old Salahedin (Din) Safi actor on “The Lion King” Rafiki Tour playing the role of young Simbaa.
Ms. Moore and friends will close the event singing her “Lift Every Voice & Sing”. The event will be streamed globally. A local Lenape’ elder woman (Lenape’ are the Indigenous People of NY) will lead the blessing, as well as remarks from Rev. Amanda Hambrick Ashcraft of Middle Collegiate Church, representing the church’s “Just Arts” initiative.
The event will be made complete with a special keynote from Audrey Kitagawa, Chair of the Parliament of World’s Religions (PoWR), on the internationally recognized U.N. Declaration of Children’s Rights. Tickets are $20 per person and tax-deductible.
