My View: A Message From Tony Danza ” When You Teach A Kid How to Act, You Teach A Kid How To Act!

Last year’s Tony Danza Showcase Performance Benefiting The Police Athletic League’s Teen Acting Program was a huge success (see article) and Tony will once again headline the event this year on June 28th at 7:30 p.m. at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater…..   from Tony

Dear Friends and PAL Supporters,

I am happy to report that PAL’s Acting program is now its largest teen program.  We have grown to three installations, two in Manhattan and one in the South Bronx. Our outreach continues through public and charter schools with a response we could have only hoped for. We just graduated sixty young artists from a 10-week program and I wish you could see the change in the ids and the pride and gratitude of their parents. You would know, as I do, that this program makes a difference. College prep, internships, and even nutrition are being addressed along with the wide-ranging artistic and life experience the program provides. I hope you will join us at John Jay College this year to see the tangible results of your support. I promise it will be a fun, exciting night of entertainment and joy. Thank you in advance.
