My View: Big Scare At Birdland Last Night

My View: Big Scare At Birdland Last Night

As hard as he tried Jim Caruso couldn’t scare anyone with his “boo” and usual snazzy attire at the Broadway at Birdland Series last night. He had to bring on Andy Karl & Orfeh with their show “Songs from the Crypt” to do the job. They rocked the place along with a great band and some pretty scary costumes and make up. One of the prizes offered was for the best guess on how long it took to apply their Halloween cosmetics (35 minutes). Lots of interesting folks in costumes and also “other people” filled the room. I’m sure if Charlie Parker was looking down on the “Jazz Corner of The World” he would be plenty scared!
