My View: “Did I Offend Anybody”? Storm Large

A force of nature, a phenomenal singer/actor/entertainer, Storm Large is one of the most exciting performers you will see on a stage.  She is also about the only person who can be political incorrect in the sweetest and nicest of ways.  In fact the first thing she asked us after her triumphant show (Kiss! Kiss! Bang! Bang!) at The Kravis Center was, “Did I Offend Anybody”?  No Storm, you only increased your passionate fan base by everyone present at your show last night.  I always enjoy watching the reaction of  “Storm virgins” as they see and hear her exotic & skillful musical deconstruction of some of the Great American Songbook standards.  After hearing Storm’s rendition of Cole Porter’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”  her version will be under Your skin, and you will probably be trying to explain it to your musically enlightened friends who’ve never heard it.  I don’t know on what day the rest of the world will become aware of her talent, but for the thousands who follow her extensive world wide touring schedule she is a true super star.
