MY VIEW: Get A Shine On Your Shoes And A Melody In Your Heart – Caruso & Stritch Start Your Day (Night) At Bemelmans

And while you’re at it “Give a tug to your tie, put a crease in your pants” and head to The Carlyle on Sunday nights as Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso begin their fall residency at The Carlyle’s legendary Bemelmans Bar. Open collars and jeans are also acceptable, but rest assure that Jim, Billy, and Steve Doyle, will look quite spiffy as they entertain you with their sophisticated music, humor, and quick-witted conversation. Theatre and music royalty drop in to hear them, and on occasion join in.  Last night it was Jeff Pew, who was the Prince in Cinderella, and the lead singer in the Radio City Spring Spectacular who took a page out of their song book and wowed the crowd. Liza, Bono, Michael, Tony, Linda, Marilyn, Michele, Jamie or Sunny.  One never knows who’s going to drop in – you might even spot Eda & me.
