My View: I Couldn’t Decide Which Performer I Liked Better At The Birthday Party Until Streisand Got Up!

Cabaret
The celebs turned out for someone who is beloved by her friends both on and off Broadway last night. It was the type of party you read about in the tabloids the next morning as one by one some of the most famous entertainers on the planet got up to toast their friend. One of the most thrilling parts of the evening was when Barbra showed that “famous” clip of her singing a duet with Judy. The special guest list that was created by Birthday Girl Sandra McFarland, a well known champion of all things theatrical, were all treated to great food at Carmines Restaurant and fabulous entertainment by Dorothy Bishop of The Dozen Divas Show at the Metropolitan Room. Dorthy uses her wonderful Yale-trained Soprano voice and outrageous sense of humor to impersonate many of the most well-known Divas. You probably have seen her on American’s Got Talent, or in Spamilton, but last night she was performing for Sandra McFarland and her friends. When Sandra got up to give her heartfelt Birthday speech she wasn’t impersonating a warm, funny and generous person. She’s the real deal.
