My View: Off To CHICAGO & Off to Anatevka

Haley Swindal is joining the cast of CHICAGO on Broadway and Jana Robins (with Hal Luftig) are bringing the Joel Grey directed Yiddish Fiddler on The Roof to Off Broadway at Stage 42.

Last night coincidently, Haley and Jana were singing the songs of Kander & Ebb the composers of CHICAGO.  It was a joyous conclusion to their Kander & Ebb tribute at 54, and the inclusion of a great Salmon Burger on chef Lynn Bound’s menu.  The deserts were something special too, and luckily there were standing ovations for Jana & Haley which helped work off some of the calories. Theater critic, author/broadcaster Michael Riedel and composer Henry Krieger among others were in the house for this one.
