MvVO Art Launches AD ART SHOW
Sometimes sad is happy, and it was a joyful evening watching two good artists join forces to explain how “breaking up is hard to do”. The mood of this inventive concept show is somber and thought provoking, but the music and lyrics of it’s song list are definitely a turn on. Stacy & Todd were enveloped with lush strings and some beautiful arrangements by music director Yasuhiko Fukuoka (that drove spell check crazy). Although I blinked somewhat hearing a Gershwin tune re-harmonized, ( like hearing the Star Spangled Banner in a minor key) it did fit the mood of the show. It’s sad Separate Ways is only at Feinstein’s tonight.. (Oct 5), but happily it’s returning on Nov. 22nd.
