My View: You Can Only Hear Sounds Like This Coming Out Of Birdland

My View: You Can Only Hear Sounds Like This Coming Out Of Birdland

John Pizzarelli, with his newly sprouted beard and looking like a younger version of Placedo Domingo brought his music to Birdland this week and the cheers and bravos could be heard all the way up from 44th street to the Metropolitan Opera House at 65th street. The Pizzarelli experience is all about John’s great jazz, great vocal interpretations, great wit, comedic timing, and interesting stories.  The John Pizzarelli’s Swing Seven Band is also typical of the Birdland experience, which offers that unique combination of historic musical performances and fun nights in a legendary venue.
