My View: 11 a.m. Show at The Triad Is A Special Surprise

Bernie Furshpan, famous for booking every available time slot at the Metropolitan Room and The Triad, took the most coveted and hard to obtain Saturday 11:00 AM spot for a surprise show celebrating his beautiful wife Joanne’s birthday.  In the production that lasted well into the wee hours of the early afternoon, ( which was followed by a Birthday Brunch), many of the talented friends of Joanne and Bernie sang tributes to Joanne.  It’s safe to say that there has never been a more heartfelt show taking place at The Triad in this time period. Bernie, you did good!  Happy Birthday Joanne Camilleri-Furshpan, lets bring this event back for another 50 years. Ian Herman, music director for the show.
