National Theatre Live captures live performances from the UK and broadcasts them in more than 2,500 movie theaters and other venues in 60 countries worldwide. As of February 2017, the global audience reached almost 8 million people. Now the cultural experience of London’s West End is  being offered at your local movie theatre thanks to National Theatre Live. National Theatre Live was founded specifically to bring access to the incredible live performances of The National Theatre and partner theaters such as the Young Vic and share them with audiences who may not have the opportunity to go to London’s West End to see them.

NTL’s next show is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Sienna Miller and Jack O’Connell—this critically acclaimed production was filmed live at the Apollo Theatre during a sell-out run in the West End. Benedict Andrews directed this acclaimed production.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof  begins on a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell.  Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real – and which will win out?

Coming in March
Hamlet: The 2015 broadcast, with Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, returns to UK and international cinemas. Julius Caesar: Nicholas Hytner directs a new take on the Shakespeare classic. Ben Whishaw (The Danish Girl, Skyfall, Hamlet) and Michelle Fairley (Fortitude, Game of Thrones) play Brutus and Cassius, David Calder (The Lost City of Z, The Hatton Garden Job) plays Caesar and David Morrissey (The Missing, Hangmen, The Walking Dead) is Mark Antony. Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
