Network Is A Financial Hit on Broadway

The National Theatre production of Network, produced by David Binder, the National Theatre, Patrick Myles, David Luff, Ros Povey and Lee Menzies, announces today that the new play has recouped in 15 weeks on Broadway. Directed by Ivo van Hove and starring Bryan Cranston, Tony Goldwyn and Tatiana Maslany,, Network began performances on Saturday, November 10, 2018 and officially opened Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street), where it will run in a strictly limited engagement through Saturday, June 8, 2019.

The complete cast for Network also includes Joshua Boone (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Alyssa Bresnahan (War Horse), Ron Canada (“Jack Ryan”), Julian Elijah Martinez(Father Comes Home From The Wars Part 1,2,3), Tony Award winner Frank Wood (Sideman), Nick Wyman (Catch Me If You Can), Barzin Akhavan (All The Way), Jason Babinsky (Billy Elliot), Camila Canó Flaviá (Dance Nation), Eric Chayefsky (Stalked: Someone’s Watching), Gina Daniels (All The Way), Nicholas Guest (“Madam Secretary”), Joe Paulik (Love and Money), Susannah Perkins (The Wolves), Victoria Sendra (Broadway Debut), Henry Stram (Junk), Bill Timoney (All The Way), Joseph Varca (Pentecost and Monster), Nicole Villamil (Queens) and Jeena Yi (Somebody’s Daughter).

Network is directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Ivo Van Hove (A View From the BridgeThe Damned), adapted by Tony and Olivier Award winner Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and based on the Academy Award-winning film by Paddy Chayefsky.  

In Lee Hall’s adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky’s Academy Award-winning film, anchorman Howard Beale (Cranston) unravels live on-screen. But when the ratings soar, the network seizes on its newfound prophet, and Howard becomes the biggest thing on TV. Bryan Cranston won the 2018 Olivier Award for his tour-de-force performance. Tony and Olivier winner Ivo van Hove directs this unique, immersive multimedia spectacle.

Network made its world premiere in a sold-out, critically acclaimed production at the National Theatre from November 13, 2017 through March 24, 2018, produced in association with Patrick Myles, David Luff, Ros Povey and Lee Menzies.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
