The holiday season gets underway at Turnstyle Underground Market on Friday, November 15th through Tuesday, December 31st (for last-minute and late gift-givers!). With 18 seasonal vendors joining the 39 permanent eateries, shops and kiosks inside the bustling corridor, which runs below Columbus Circle at Eighth Avenue, between 57th and 58th Streets, shopping is flawlessly convenient for a third consecutive year. Many of the shoppers coming from the Columbus Avenue subway hub, will again be able to avoid trudging through icy temperatures and inclement weather to find unique holiday gifts at all price points.

“Forget braving snow and cold winds on the street or crazy department store crowds when it’s so easy to hop off a subway and find a huge selection of gift items,” says Susan E. Fine, a principal at Fine Development Partnerships, Turnstyle’s developer. “This year, we have an exceptional mix of fashion for people, tots and pets, jewelry, scented candles, CBD lotions and beyond. For holiday gatherings, there are beautifully packaged confectionaries, wines, spirits and flower bouquets. There are even holiday ornaments for the ultimate in one-stop-shopping!”

Also, Executive Chef/Owner Jared Sippel will be hosting a special dinner at his restaurant Trattoria Italienne to celebrate the life and wines of the legendary producer, Bruno Giacosa, on November 18th at 6:30pm.

The Piedmontese dinner will feature a five-course pairing menu with selections such as Agnolotti ai tres Arroisti, a traditional piedmontese stuffed pasta with tartufi bianchi, which will be served with a Nebbiolo D’Alba Valmaggiore from 2017, and Sformato Di Verdure, cardoon with radicchios dressed in Cesare giaccone barbera vinegar, served with a Barbera D’Alba from 2017. The dinner is priced at $229 per person and guests can reserve their tickets by calling 212-600-5139 or emailing reservations@italiennenyc.com
