NY WInterFest Meet The Playwrights: Brianna Gagné Tapping Into Faith and Her Latinx Culture
Brianna Gagné

Brianna Gagné

Brianna Gagné, is a Cuban- American actress and writer from Miami, Florida with a love for the clash of classic and unconventional. Recently a self-discovered playwright, though she has kept a journal since she was 8-years old. After taking one playwriting class in college Brianna found how to hone her knack for tapping into the stream of consciousness into her own writing style. She has performed Sis. Amiss in the ONE Festival in Miami and now she’s making her New York debut.  She wants to continue to find spaces and forums that will inspire creative new work while building courage to share her wild perspective as a young Latinx in 2018 and beyond.

An utterly disoriented Sis. Stallings finds herself entering the Mormon mission field for the third time after two previous failed attempts. We learn about her past misadventures through the characters she encountered while out in the field. Her faith is faltering and doesn’t know if she can find the courage to do it again. When God calls you on a mission will you pick up? Or will you simply be amiss?

You can see Sis. Amiss at the NY Winterfest at the Hudson Guild, 441 West 26th St.February 14th @ 6:15, 15th @ 6:15, and 17th @8:30
