Rori Nogee is thrilled to premiere her new play in the NY Winterfest! She previously wrote the book, music and lyrics for Siren’s Den: A New Rock Musical, produced at The Gene Frankel Theater, Under St. Mark’s, The West Village Musical Theater Festival and the NYNW Theater Festival (Semi-Finalist). The demo CD is available on iTunes. Her play, Down This Road received staged readings with Sink or Swim Rep, Chelsea Rep Lab, and Identity Theater Company. Rori’s theater credits include: Broadway (Joseph…Dreamcoat), Off-Broadway’s Showgirls, the Musical! (Cristal Connors), Atlantic Theater Company’s James and the Giant Peach (Spiker), Carnegie Hall’s Journey to America (Lillian Galetta) and regional credits such as Rock of Ages (Regina) at Arizona Broadway Theater, Rent (Maureen) at Charleston Music Hall, Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth) at North Street Playhouse, Oliver! at The Palace Theater and the national tour of MTV’s Rockband, Live! In Aftershocks the question becomes can a cracked foundation ever heal? A woman with a troubled past and a history of casual relationships falls for the one man she cannot touch, due to his own childhood trauma. Together, they attempt to heal from the lingering effects of their early wounds, but in pushing the boundaries of their comfort zones, they are met with unforeseen challenges and dangerous consequences. *Show includes sex, violence, and deals with sexual abuse
