NYC Will Get a Surprise Visit From Santa and His Elves

On December 19, New York City will get a surprise visit from Santa and his elves, thanks to Fruit of the Loom, as they glide through iconic areas in Manhattan. Throughout the experience, busy shoppers and lucky onlookers will have the opportunity to check off last minute gifts from their holiday lists, as the sleigh ride serves as a nod to Fruit of the Loom’s campaign to celebrate completing your holiday shopping with Fruit of the Loom.

Sleigh bells will ring beginning at 8 A.M. ET and wrap up at 2 P.M. ET. Throughout the sleigh ride, Santa will hand out holiday goodies, such as hot cocoa, in addition to thousands of stylish Fruit of the Loom products including thermals for the whole family, socks, fleece and underwear. Consumers can track where the sleigh is on Fruit of the Loom’s Instagram live stories, through the hashtag #FruitTracksSanta or by consulting the full schedule of locations and times listed below and on the brand’s website.

Late last year, the brand conducted research to find out more about consumer shopping trends around the holidays. Their findings showed while items that seem like smaller gifts, such as undershirts, underwear, socks, and sweats, tend to be purchased later in the holiday season, receivers truly appreciate them. In fact, most people see these gifts as part of a tradition that carries on year-over-year, representing a fresh start for the year to come.

“We love being a part of people’s holiday traditions, and we want to celebrate that fact by sprinkling the fun and festive spirit around New York City,” said Karen Kendrick, Vice President, Brand Communications, and Creative Services at Fruit of the Loom. “As we get closer to the holidays, we know last-minute gift shopping can be stressful, so we want to help busy shoppers by providing them with Fruit of the Loom products to give to their loved ones or even keep for themselves.”

Known for their quality and affordable product offerings, Fruit of the Loom has long been helping consumers round out their holiday gifts. From t-shirts and underwear, to socks and sweats, the brand has a wide-array of fashion forward items which makes it easy to find something for everyone in the family. Some of their latest innovations include the addition of Dual Defense technology to the Men’s fleece collection, which provides moisture wicking and odor control, and the new Women’s Essentials collection which is composed of stylish casualwear that can be dressed up or dressed down.

Don’t live in New York City but want to join in on the holiday fun and track Santa’s sleigh? Follow Fruit of the Loom on Instagram for live updates.
