On the Scene with Sensible Socialite

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to close. As Labor Day approaches the weather is starting to cool down, but staying warm on the social calendar are so many hot happenings.

Lovely times were had by all who attended the glorious opening of JAPAN HOUSE. The grand celebration on August 24 included Japanese dignitaries and cultural enthusiasts, including celebrity guests Josh Groban and actor Masi Oka. Actor, activist and JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles supporter George Takei emceed the celebration. The gala featured a dance performance by Daito Manabe’s Rhizomatiks Research x ELEVENPLAY choreographed by MIKIKO, and a special congratulatory performance by popular Japanese musician, YOSHIKI,

And out in the Hamptons, the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) hosted the 19th Annual Gala in the Hamptons at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY during the 14th Annual Charles Evans PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament weekend which raised $4 million. Founder Michael Milken and The Gala in the Hamptons weekend hosts and sponsors welcomed guests to enjoy, engage and be entertained while helping to fund groundbreaking discoveries in cancer research. This year’s entertainment was provided by Grammy® award winning musician John Fogerty.

In addition on August 18, hundreds of guests gathered at swanky Topping Rose House for Luxe Wanderlust. Guests gathered for luxurious moments full of music and fruitful delights. Proceeds raised from raffle items benefited the tremendous work of the Retreat for Domestic Violence.

Of course, summer is not quite over. There are still several hotspots to hit in New York with Go Dream, Nicolai Bille Krogh, is wrapping out the season in style with over 300 experiences and counting.

Nothing like making the most of the year. Happy Labor Day Weekend.
