Opening Tonight Nancy Opel In Curvy Widow

Look for Curvy Widow, to shed some light on sex and the older female. This semi-autobiographical new musical comedy with a book by Bobby Goldman follows a recently widowed 50-something woman as she immerses herself in the modern dating scene. She explores internet personal ads, weighing the pros and cons of married vs unmarried men. This widow loves life and sex. Now she has to start life over in the modern age.

Music and lyrics are by Drew Brody (Oh Hello:), Peter Flynn (Rhapsody in Seth; Two Rooms), directs. The show opens tonight at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Tony Award nominee Nancy Opel (Honeymoon In Vegas, Urinetown; The Toxic Avenger) stars as Curvy Window.Joining Opel on stage are Andrea Bianchi (As The World Turns), Aisha de Haas (Rent; Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk), Elizabeth Ward Land (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Memphis), Ken Land (The Scarlet Pimpernel; Promises, Promises), Alan Muraoka(TV’s Sesame Street, Miss Saigon) and Christopher Shyer (Mamma Mia!, National Tour: The Book of Mormon).
