Over 2,000 Bees Hit Times Square Restaurant

“If you can make it there,” also seems to apply to bees, as they made a hive inside an outdoor restaurant seating area. The New York Police Department’s bee unit (NYPD beekeepers) was called to take the stingers away.

It’s not the first time bees have have invaded. Last July they did the same thing.

It seems the bees are migrating. In May, NYPD beekeepers relocated about 15,000 bees from a tree in Queens and earlier this month, 8,000 were relocated from a building near the World Trade Center.

“The bees were relocated to an area where their pollenating skills will be put to good use,” according to NYPD Bees.
