Paul Byrom, one of Ireland’s premier tenors, performed Thursday, March 1st, at Rory Dolan’s. Celebrating more than 10 years of performing in the United States and other locations beyond his native Ireland, he has embarked 13-city “10 Years On” tour.
He joined the Celtic Thunder, in 2007, as one of the original members. The group had six #1 World Billboard albums and appeared in several television specials on PBS stations throughout the country. Since leaving the group in 2010, Byrom has had a highly successful solo career, with his first post-Celtic Thunder recording “This is the Moment” also debuting at #1 on the World Billboard Chart.
He has performed for Emperor Akihito of Japan, former Irish Presidents Mary McAleese and Mary Robinson, as well as ex- President Barack Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner.
Rory Dolan’s show features songs that touch the heart and uplift the soul, and since the tour occurs during the month of St. Patrick’s Day, he will include several Irish favorites to celebrate the lead-up to March 17.
