Pet Fashion Week and The Richest Cats and Dogs

Pet Fashion Week and The Richest Cats and Dogs

In the run up to Pet Fashion Week, a new tool reveals the salaries of six internet-famous pets with shocking (and somewhat depressing) findings.

Did you know Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette earns the equivalent of 692 Chanel hangbags in one year! Similarly, internet meme Grumpy Cat could purchase 15,966 pairs of Louboutin Cataclou 60 espadrilles with an annual income of $12,693,333!  A new tool reveals the six richest pets in the world with SHOCKING results.

Have you ever considered how much the world’s most affluent animals really earn? Now you can compare yourself against the pets of the net, the furry and feathered millionaires that can afford a wardrobe lined with some of the most iconic fashion pieces.

Created by pet food brand Webbox, Pets of the Net allows you to find out how much your salary compares with that of an internet-famous pet with shocking (and somewhat depressing) results.

For example, in one year Spotify-verified Doug the Pug could purchase a staggering 239 Burberry Kensington Heritage Trench Coats whereas Karl Lagerfeld’s Choupette earns the equivalent of 692 black Chanel 2.55 Handbags per year.

Fancy trotting around in Manolo Blahnik’s iconic dark blue tweed Hangisi flats? The timeless classics come with a hefty price tag of $985 but Gigoo the chicken could afford to fork out for 906 pairs every day.

At Pet Fashion Week August 27th, fashion-forward felines and dolled-up dogs will be donned in their finest clothes ready to strut their stuff on the catwalks.

The Insta-famous pet salaries are also considerably higher than the US average household income of $59,039 per year, which it would take Grumpy Cat just 75 hours and 34 minutes to earn.

Known for her permanently peeved facial expression, Grumpy Cat earns an estimated $34,776.26 in a day, compared to $219.98 per day based on the US average household income.

Everyone’s favourite doggo, Doug the Pug, earns a tail-wagging $476,000 a year, which is $416,961 more than the average US household. The most famous pug on the planet is well-known for his dress sense; dressing up as Harry Potter, Frozen’s Elsa, and even a taco.

As well as his big wardrobe, he has an even bigger dog house to keep his money in, with daily earnings totalling just over $1,000.

The cash-rich companions featured in the piece include:
