Photo Op With Manhattanhenge

Photo Op With Manhattanhenge

A city-wide photography phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge happens on July 12th. Get ready for the perfectly setting sun that will align with the east–west streets of New York City’s street grid.

To celebrate the stunning and unique sunset that comes around twice a year, East Midtown Partnership has partnered with the FDR Four Freedoms Park to offer the city’s most spectacular vantage points in the park as well as additional entertainment after the sun sets with a special Reverse Happy Hour in East Midtown! For the past three years, thousands of people have traveled to the Roosevelt Island park to take advantage of one of the most spectacular viewpoints of Manhattanhenge in the city. New for this year, post sunset, photographers as well as onlookers and locals can join us in East Midtown for a belated happy hour at select bars and restaurants from 8:00-10:00 PM.

This event is free and open to the public; registration is required: http://www.fdrfourfreedomspark.org/2018-events/2018/7/12/manhattanhenge
