Producer Pat Addiss was in a cab on the way to her birthday party, when she got the news and the wish she had been praying for. The show she loves and has worked so hard to bring to an extended life to, Desperate Measures would be extended at New World Stages until December 30th.

Desperate Measures—the musical comedy just celebrated it’s 100 performances Off-Broadway  September 13th. Both Pat and her co-producer Mary Cossett believe in their show and are excited to be able to extend.

Based on Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, the musical features a book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg and music by David Friedman. After premiering at The York Theatre Company, the show was nominated for the Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Musical. Desperate Measures won Drama Desks for Outstanding Music for Friedman and Outstanding Lyrics for Kellogg.

The cast features Gary Marachek, Lauren Molina, Sarah Parnicky, Conor Ryan, Peter Saide, and Nick Wyman.

Look for some exciting news as to a brand new actor taking over.

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
