Rock me all night long at the latest season at SUSHI ROXX . The beloved restaurant (120 E. 39th Street) celebrated their latest hit show with a special list of guests this week that included foodies, trendsetters, music lovers and celebrities.
It is no surprise that this venue has taken off with roaring success and has kept the music beating away the competition. It is the top destination in New York City that gives you the perfect combination of rocking sounds, incredible performances and earth-shattering food and drinks to make a divine night in the Big Apple.
The moment you walk in the doors you feel like you have been transported to Disneyland for adults. Flashing screens and saturated colorful pieces of art work electrify your senses and start to make you salivate for the food as much as for the grand vibe. Once seated by the hostess your heart tingles and your toes began to tap. You know you are in for wonderful moments to create a lifetime of memories.
From the menu selections to playlist there is a deep level of respect for Jason Apfelbaum, who has masterfully curated the hot spot. Wait staff kindly serves you before they in the whip of a second transform themselves into glorious actors, singers and dancers. This is rock and theater combined together in the very best way possible.
Numbers take you away and make you sway in bliss. Sing along or be captivated by the twirls and high kicks to such songs as Boston’s Foreplay / Longtime, Tina Turner’s Proud Mary, Aerosmith’s Dream On, Van Halen’s You Really Got Me, Journey’s Anyway You Want It, and a breathtaking finale with the entire SUSHI ROXX cast of Lenny Kravitz’s
Are You Gonna Go My Way. This is not dinner theater – this is a deep reflection of fun, fantasy art that only New Yorkers can paint.
And the menu is just as spectacular. Served for cocktail’s on this night were the perfectly sweet and sour Skywalker with Avion Silver, Honeydew, Agave, Lime, Jalapeno and Basil; the fruity Black Panther with Aviation, Creme De Cassis, Blackberry and lime; the tangy Kung Fu Hustle with Absolut, Cucumber, Thyme, Lime and Sparkling Water; and the scrumptious Green Lantern with Jameson, Blue Curaco, Peach and Lemon.
Starters offered are large portions and full of range of selections including plump, spicy Shishito Peppers; a divine Yellowtail Jalapeno with cilantro, jalepeno and citrus soy; as well as delicious Tuna Poke mixed with sweet avocado and citrus undertones.
Sushi Rolls are truly creative and taste divine. New to the menu and worthy of glorious applause are the Marilyn Monroe with spicy snow crab, cucumber, and crunch topped with seared scallop, miso aioli and yuzu tobiko; the spicy Van Halen with kani salad, crispy nori, and cucumber all topped with seared tuna and yuzu cavier; the Malibu with snow crab, avocado all wrapped in soy papper topped with salmon and sweet soy; and the incredible Roxx Lobster mixed with mango, cucumber, mesculin and lime juice.
There is also an abundant dessert menu to make your night even sweeter with such delights as yummy Berries & Cream.
Reservations are taken and strongly recommended for the popular destination. If you want to rock all night long your perfect stop is and always will be SUSHI ROXX.
