Rumer Willis, the eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, has become a star in her own right. Not only is she beautiful, but is an accomplished singer. She performed at Feinstein’s/54 Below Wendsday with her best friend, roommate, collaborator and ”non sexual life partner,” Tye Blue. They are magical on stage with their tight harmony and wonderful playfulness. The pair explain that they have been dreaming about doing a show together as they were driving around LA singing their hearts out in the car. Rumer has a strong voice and as her sisters have told her she sounds like a cross between Adele and Amy Winehouse. The minute she stepped on stage she owned the room. She was sultry as she sang Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me.”Tye held his own as he sang Ray Charles’ “You Don’t Know Me” and Adele’s hit “Hello” as a duet with Rumor. From jazz to Motown this two entertained. With two back-up singers Rumer brought the house down as she sang “It’s Raining Men.”

At times Rumer would forget her lyrics, but it didn’t throw her, she made light of it and forged on. Tye and Rumer are strong performers on their own and together they are dynamite.

Rumor was the winner of Dancing with the Stars and is currently staring in Chicago on Broadway. Let’s hope she and Tye bring this act back as it was truly well done.
