Rutgers Football at a Turning Point

Yes, unfortunately your Scarlet Knights fell to the number two ranked Ohio State Buckeyes yesterday at SHI Stadium at Rutgers University. Final score 56 to 21. Rutgers has faced its share of adversity this season, dropping four of the first five games before firing Coach Chris Ash. Several players decided to Red-shirt at that point. Meaning they would forego playing the rest of this season in exchange for an additional year of eligibility. The teams record now at 2-8 with games against Michigan State next week at home and the following week at Happy Valley against Penn State, professional odds makers are not predicting any Happy Endings. I, on the other hand, am predicting at least one more victory for the Knights this season. Why? On what grounds? Am I out of my mind? Allow me to explain. First off we have true freshman QB #17 Johnny Langan.

Another reason for Rutgers fans to be optimistic about picking up at least one more victory this season. Sophomore RB #1 Isaih Pacheco. Explosive. Exciting. Hard working.

Rutgers interim head coach Nunzio Campanile. Give this guy a ton a credit. He has stepped up and held the reins while the fans scream for the return of former head coach Greg Schiano. The inside skinny from the field level? Schiano return is a done deal with the possibility that he may start coaching as soon as next game against Michigan State at home in SHI Stadium, noontime kickoff.

Other reasons to believe Rutgers will win one of its last two games? Simple. We have the best Marching Band. And Spirit Squad.

PLUS…… We have Santa at our Games!!!!

Believe !!! Rutgers – R times is coming……

By the way I have posted a gallery for the students. Normally I post these on a facebook page but for the second time this season facebook has blocked me from posting. Not sure why? Perhaps because I am posting over a 150 photos at once it may think I’m a bot or worse a business user. IDK? IDC? Please feel free to download and share these game photos. Use proper photo credit when using photos from this gallery. Click here low res downloadable / shareable photos for the Rutgers Community
