On Tuesday at Adverting Week, the wonderful Drew Barrymore, founder of Flower Beauty, and Harry Kargman, CEO of Kargo, shared their insights and strategies for brand building in a mobile-first world. The electrifying chat was moderated by Chanel Vice Chairman Arie L. Kopelman. The audience was captivated on the lecture that highlighted on how to make brands stand-out in an overwhelming market.

Our favorite man on the town shared some good news in the city.  JetSmarter, the world’s leading private jet company, announced the appointment of Jason Binn as Executive Director of JetSmarter. In this role, Binn will leverage his more than 25 years of experience in marketing and branding some of the most prestigious and prominent people and businesses. Binn will use his wealth of knowledge and proven experience to facilitate new JetSmarter opportunities for insider access and activations. Binn will also continue in his role as CEO and Founder of luxury lifestyle publication, DuJour magazine as well as Chief Advisor to Gilt and InList.com.

The two brought together poker champions with stars Hank Azaria, Eric Bogosian, Richard Kind, Tony Yazbeck– all for a night of fun, games, and social justice. The proceeds of the event will benefit The Urban Justice Center, one of  New York City’s leading non-profit providing legal services to the city’s most vulnerable.

The NASCAR Foundation’s inaugural Honors Gala, hosted Tuesday night in New York at the Marriott Marquis, raised $1.6 million to benefit hospitalized children across the country through the Speediatrics Children’s Fund. This marks further national expansion for The Foundation which has donated more than $25 million and reached one million children in need since 2006.

At the event, the sixth annual Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award presented by Nationwide was awarded to Andy Hoffman, Founder of Team Jack FoundationHoffman, who will receive a $100,000 donation from The NASCAR Foundation, started the Team Jack Foundation after his son developed pediatric brain cancer, and has raised $3 million to help eradicate the disease since 2011.

At Beautique, 25A Magzine hosted a special party to celebrate their latest cover star Tracey Stern. In attendance were VIP guests who enjoyed wine and lovely vegetarian options.

Don Newhouse, president of Advanced Publications, who sadly lost his wife, Suzi, to Frontotemporal ​Degeneration told his story on the TODAY SHOW  before the Hope Rising Benefit taking place tonight. ​The event will be MC’ed by Paula Zahn ​and features musical performance by Tony Award winning actress Kelli O’Hara.​

Curator Tony Ingrao of Blue Heaven – an exhibition and showcase featuring some of the world’s most iconic designers – hosted a private preview at R & Company that was attended by tastemakers in the city. The exhibition is part of R & Company’s Annual Guest Curator exhibition that invites an influencer in the design and architecture industry to transform the gallery space.
