Sensible Socialite on the Scene – Winter Chills Warm Up with a Hot Island

It’s hard to believe it is still winter with all the crazy warm weather. But, no snow and less mittens and scarves to carry around means New Yorkers are more willing to be out and about on the town.

Lot’s going on all over the island.

On Thursday, the launch of Prince Street Podcast’s exciting new spin-off, Live from Prince Street took place at landmark Dean and Deluca. Martha Stewart and award-winning author and journalist Bill Buford had a candid talk about cooking and what to dos and what not to dos in the kitchen for a special taping of the show. Over a hundred guests gathered in the store and watched and listened eagerly to the best advice you can get. The interview is no available for download on March 3rd on iTunes and Spotify.

On Monday, it is – gasp – National Oreo Day. In honor of everyone’s favorite cookie, The Wayfarer, has created a special Oreo for everyone to celebrate with on March 6th. Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, The Wayfarer is an American Grille serving fresh takes on classic dishes and foods in an airy and sophisticated setting.

And coming up on Wednesday we hear that hotspot Bagatelle is hosting Pour Elle presented by Bella. It is all to celebrate Women’s Day. Celebrity photographer Rose Hartman will be on-hand to sign copies of her beautiful book “Incomparable Women of Style.”

And, The 20th Annual Bergh Ball will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 20th at The Plaza Hotel.  This year’s event will honor Linda Lloyd Lambert (photo attached) with the Henry Bergh Award.  Isaac  Mizrahi will serve as master of ceremonies and music will be provided by DJ Samantha Ronson.  Tickets here.
