Singing Praises for National Scotch Day with Glenmorangie

This week National Scotch Day was a reason to celebrate and toast the lovely, sophisticated moments of summer with Glenmorangie.

The renowned Scotch whisky producer brought out some bright and bold notes this season with some amazing cocktail recipes that you have to try at home.

Orange Highball

  • 50 ml (2oz) Glenmorangie Original
  • ½ an Orange
  • 50 ml (2oz) Tonic water
  • 50 ml (2 oz) Soda water
  • Orange Wedges, to garnish

Preparation: Juice half an orange. Then fill a highball glass with ice cubes and thick wedges of orange. Finally, pour all your ingredients over the top, and prepare a suitably long toast!

Glenmorangie X Passionfruit

  • 50ml (2oz) X by Glenmorangie
  • 50ml (2oz) Passionfruit Soda

Preparation: Fill highball glass with crushed ice. Add X by Glenmorangie and passionfruit soda. Stir and garnish with half a passion fruit.

Glenmorangie X Peach

  • 50ml X by Glenmorangie
  • 75ml Peach Iced Tea

Preparation: Fill highball glass with crushed ice. Add X by Glenmorangie and peach iced tea. Stir and garnish with a lemon wheel.

And for those who want to celebrate summer in style there is always the option of just serving straight up.

To give Original a delicious, go-anywhere finesse, it is made in Glenmorangie’s giraffe-high stills, then aged for 10 years in bourbon casks to absorb all manner of delectable flavors. The result is a smooth whisky which welcomes you with a rush of citrus, then holds your attention with layers of luscious flavour, from orange to honey and creamy vanilla, with bursts of peach.

And to add a further twist of fun in the long days of summer try X by Glenmorangie on the rocks.

This lusciously free-wheeling whisky has succulent aromas of pear, vanilla and honeysuckle and oranges. They set the stage for an extravaganza of flavour, from swirls of orange sherbet to bursts of creme brûlée drizzled with chocolate fudge.

Happy summer sipping.
