Students Get Their Art Displayed in Duffy Square

On June 18th at 2pm, the Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) celebrate its 5th annual P.S. ART event in Times Square. The event will feature speakers from TSAC, the New York City Department of Education, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and featured student artists.

A six-day digital art presentation showcased the work of New York City Public School students ranging from prekindergarten through the 12th grade on the digital screens in Times Square.

The student artists and families came together to experience the unveiling of their work in one of the most iconic locations in the world.

27 New York City public school students in Pre-K through 12th grade were displayed in Times Square’s Duffy Square on Clear Channel’s screen. These Times Square works of art were chosen from the 115 works in The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s P.S. Art 2019: Celebrating the Creative Spirit of NYC Kids exhibition. This is a project from the New York City Department of Education, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Studio in a School NYC.

The artwork will be put on display at The Metropolitan Museum of Art through Sunday, October 20.
