Surfin in the City at Best Beach Bar in Region

This summer you do not have to go far to be at the beach with delicious food and drinks. Surf City is located just a boat or Path Train ride away from Manhattan. It is like taking the perfect mini-vacation away from the pounding of the pavement and the stale wind on the sidewalks that any local will appreciate.

surfThere is a gorgeous beachfront setting with open air benches facing the marina and fire pits in the sand. Take your shoes off and kick back for an adventure on the weekend or for some amazing cocktails on a week night.

surfLocated at 1 Marin Blvd in Jersey City, is more than just a bar on the water. It is a perfect setting for your family early in the night or a romantic getaway with your partner as the sun sets. There are multiple bars and staff is phenomenal. Whether you are ordering for dinner or getting snacks at the shack, you will be pleased with the gorgeous design of the restaurant and the smiles of the servers.

You can dance with a drink in hand or simply sit with a classy meal – the options are limitless at Surf City.

As momentous as the views is the menu. There are several options for wine and beer; as well as wonderful frozen drink delights including Pina Coladas, Mango Daiquiris, and Strawberry Ritas.

Executive Chef Franco Robazetti has created an excellent arrangement of dishes to match. The creativity and international inspiration of Robazetti is glorious. Every order will surprise you in how tasty it is backed up by passionate appreciation for the diner.

The Guacamole stand is incredible. As you sit with the cool breeze coming in from the water the delicious appetizer is made right next to you. The dish can be made classically or topped with enormous pieces of lobster claw.

Other amazing appetizers include Peel and Eat Shrimp that is cooked in a boil of beer, herbs and spices; as well as yummy Lobster Quesadillas with pepper jack cheese perfectly grilled. There is also the Surf City Salad with fresh kale, dried cranberries, pickled red beets, pineapple chunks and tomatoes tossed in mango balsamic dressing.

For entrees the new Lobster Roll is out of this world. With the warm buttery potato bun holding scrumptious chunks of Poached Main Lobster mixed with celery and a special blend of herbed aioli. There are also traditional burgers, and a fascinating Beyond the Meat Veggie Burger. It is 100% plant based with peas, coconut oil and beets. Vegetarians at your table may have a hard time believing the texture and look of the patty is not beef. Also for another healthy option the Salmon is to be adored for having a gorgeous perfect fillet along with steamed vegetables.

In fact, it is the mix of traditional beach bar fare equally balanced with healthy options that make Surf City stand out above the competition. There is truly something for everyone here.

Reservations are not taken, but there is an abundance of seating options. Also, think about the holidays and special occasions at this location. Fourth of July will be glorious with views of the city skyscrapers. And with wedding season on hand this a great choice for a bachelor party as well.
