Suzanne Vega Returns to The Cafe Carlyle

One of contemporary music’s most seminal singer/songwriters, Suzanne Vega, returns to Café Carlyle with Suzanne Vega Sings Her New York Songs at The Carlyle, March 5 – 16. Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she sang what has been labeled contemporary folk or neo-folk songs of her own creation in Greenwich Village clubs.

With songs like  “Marlene on the Wall”, “Left of Center”, “Luka” and “No Cheap Thrill” and “Tom’s Diner,”  Vega represents a the era of the eclectic folk-inspired musician singer, songwriter.

Cabaret

Suzanna, co-owns and publishes the newspaper Times Square Chronicles or T2C. At one point a working actress, she has performed in numerous productions in film, TV, cabaret and theatre. She has performed at The New Orleans Jazz festival, The United Nations and Carnegie Hall. Currently she has a screenplay in the works, which she developed with her mentor and friend the late Arthur Herzog.
