When someone is doing some type of stressful activity, they tend to do better if there is a dog nearby. There are some studies that have even proven that a dog can help ease tension at the workplace and between couples.

Some believe that just owning a dog can help in detecting, treating, and managing a wide array of debilitations and illnesses. There are some dogs that have been specially trained to detect issues related to prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and more.

Also, individuals with Alzheimer’s are often soothed by the presence of dogs. Their companionship helps to reduce aggression and emotional flare-ups, too.
