Last night the cast of Broadway’s hit musical Waitress including new star Katharine McPhee raised over $10,000.00 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway’s newest intimate concert venue celebrated the music of the show’s composer Sara Bareilles. As a special surprise Bareilles also attended though did not sing.
Directed by cast members Molly Jobe and Matt DeAngelis, “Brave,” “Love Song,” and “Gravity” were highlighted.
McPhee’s kicking rendition of “Many The Miles”
and NaTasha Yvette Williams on Brave were the highlights of the night.
The band includes music director Adam Kaufman on piano, Ryan Vona on guitar, Jon Epcar on drums, Jeff Allen on bass, Alex Foote on guitar, and Yair Evnine on cello.
