Alanis Morissette‘s breakthrough 1994 debut album Jagged Little Pill launched her career and now a musical of the same name is slatted to open on Broadway’s Broadhurst Theatre December 5th.
The digital release of the show’s album by Atlantic Records will be released December 6th and features all-new renditions of Jagged Little Pill‘s biggest hits. Look for “You Oughta Know,” “Head Over Feet,” “Hand In My Pocket,” “Perfect,” and “Ironic”, as well as “Thank U” and “Uninvited.”
Look for two new songs, “Smiling” and “Predator,” written by Morissette and Michael Farrell specifically for the musical.
Tony winner Diane Paulus directs, Beyoncé collaborator Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has created the movement direction and choreography and musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Pulitzer Prize winner Kitt (Next to Normal, American Idiot).

Jagged Little Pill stars Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Celia Rose Gooding, Derek Klena, Kathryn Gallagher, Lauren Patten, Annelise Baker, Yeman Brown, Jane Bruce, John Cardoza, Ken Wulf Clark, Antonio Cipriano, Laurel Harris, Logan Hart, Zach Hess, Max Kumangai, Heather Lang, Ezra Menas, Kelsey Orem, Yana Perrault, Nora Schell, Kei Tsuruharatani and Ebony Williams all sing on the cast recording.
The album is produced by Neal Avron and Tom Kitt, and co-produced by Pete Ganbarg, Craig Rosen, Michael Parker, Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David, and Eva Price.
The Jagged Little Pill‘s Digital Lottery will be available each performance day, the lottery will open at 12:00 AM at JaggedLottery.com; matinee drawings will take place at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, and evening performance drawings will be at 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Tickets are $40, and upon notification, winners will have one hour to complete their purchase via credit card online. General Rush tickets are subject to availability and can be purchased at the Broadhurst Box Office (235 W 44th St, NYC) for same-day performances on a first-come, first-served basis. Rush tickets are $40, with a limit of two tickets per purchase.
