The Third Annual Pate en Croute Semi Final Event was held at Meatpacking District hotspot Bagatelle in NYC on October 15th.
Finalists from North America competed for the opportunity to get to the finals scheduled for Lyon, France in December 2018. The winning pate was prepared by Timothy Foley from Le District, NYC who won a trip to France to Tain l’hermitage to compete in the finals on December 3rd.
Second Place was awarded to Antoine Corriveau from Ateliers & Saveurs, Quebec who won a culinary weekend in Montreal. Third Place was awarded to Laetitia Rouabah from Benoit, NYC who was awarded a collection of fine wines and charcuterie.
The Pate en Croute was judged blind by the panel of esteemed judges including: Daniel Boulud, Michel Chapoutier, Phillipe Colin, Ariane Daguin, Jean-Louis Dumonet, Gabriel Kreuther, Sara Moulton, Andre Soltner and Antoine Westermann.
