Tips for Choosing the Right Bath in Your Home Renovation

Tips for Choosing the Right Bath in Your Home Renovation

When you’re choosing from a list of baths for your home’s renovation, the task can be daunting. It’s difficult to know which bathis the right one for your home. Just when you think you’ve found the perfect one, you see another one that might be better.

Your train of thought might go like this, “Wow this one’s even better! Well, maybe not, it’s hard to say. Okay, yes it is…Well, I’m not sure.”

No one likes to find themselves in the suffocating grasp of indecision. Luckily, you’ve maneuvered your way here: a handy list of tips to make choosing the right bath for your home a little easier.

Essentially, there are around 3 primary types of bathtubs you’ve likely been looking at. The first type is the 3-wall alcove. This is the common, shower-tub combo you see in many homes. The tub is enclosed on three sides and typically uses a screen or curtain to enclose the fourth side. If you want the ability to soak in a tub and then take a standing shower in the same spot, this is the option for you.

The next type is the freestanding bathtub. This is a stylish bathtub that is not installed into any wall, hence the name, “freestanding.” This option does take up more space than other options, so consider this if you have a larger bathroom that you’d like to be extra stylish.

The final option is the corner bathtub. If you would like a tub separate from the shower and a freestanding tub is too inconvenient for your bathroom, then this is the ideal option for you. The tub is installed into the corner of your bathroom to provide extra space and is more square-shaped than the other styles of tubs.

Hopefully, choosing from that daunting list of baths shouldn’t be as daunting now! The key tip is to formulate a list of criteria for what you would want from your bathtub, and then choose the tub that best fits that criteria. Now that you’re armed with the knowledge of what each tub type has to offer, you’re sure to make the right decision.
