Travel: Thessaloniki, Makedonia Palace and The Hammam Experience

Published

on

After very little sleep and walking all over Greece, I decided to try the Hammam experience. The Hammam Baths at Makedonia Palace were the perfect solution to an achy body. Incorporating the Othoman tradition of Turkish baths, this is an oasis of beauty, warmth and serenity devoted to the secrets of wellness and the beauty of hammam.

You start with a traditional, rejuvenating steam bath. During this you pour water over your body from a cooper bowl. After you steam comes a relaxing massage during which you are loafed, and scrubbed to deeply exfoliate your skin. Expect to be sent into a heavenly sensual calm.

I tried the Ali-Mama, which was a deep exfoliation with traditional ketseas (think loofa), body & hair wash, muscle relaxing massage with foam from olive oil soap. The best part was a silk pillow being filled with soap bubble and air. They slap you with this, but it feels like you are being kissed. I can’t wait to try this on a lover, as it is one of the most erotic feelings I have ever experienced, while feeling safe and developed in care.

I recommend a Hammam to anyone who needs to de-stress and learned they also have them in NYC.

Are Liposomal Glutathione Supplements the Key to Eternal Youth?

Published

on

By

For years, men and women have looked for ways to maintain their youthfulness even as years pass. Our bodies undergo a number of transformations during our lifetime, impacting the way we feel and look. The quest for lasting youthfulness has been a topic of interest for many people, especially those who are in the business of manufacturing products that promote anti-aging benefits.

Today, there are many anti-aging creams and lotions that claim to restore the freshness of skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles and increasing collagen and elastic production. While these products may help to some extent, they cannot guarantee the absolute solution.

In this pursuit of solutions to unlock improved longevity of youthfulness emerged the use of liposomal glutathione (L-Glutathione). In this blog post, we will examine what liposomal glutathione is and how it benefits our skin with its anti-aging properties.

What is Liposomal Glutathione?

Liposomal glutathione is a form of the powerful antioxidant glutathione found in the cells of our body, which is a powerhouse of three amino acids, namely glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. It promotes immune function, oxidation, and cellular health in the body. As we age, the glutathione levels in the body decrease, resulting in oxidative stress and a decline in cellular health. To combat this, oral supplementation of glutathione becomes necessary.

When natural glutathione levels drop, it is supplemented in the form of liposomal glutathione. Liposomal glutathione neutralizes free radicals and guards cells against damage. Its innovative delivery system improves the bioavailability and absorption of glutathione, helping it reach all the cells in the body.

Decoding the Role of Liposomal Glutathione in Revitalizing Skin Health

Liposomal glutathione plays a significant role in delaying aging. When glutathione levels in the body dip, oral supplementation of liposomal glutathione can help restore them. A liposomal glutathione supplement with whole food helps enhance skin health by boosting collagen production, a critical protein that helps maintain skin’s elasticity and firmness. Here are some of the benefits liposomal glutathione offers that make it a powerful anti-aging tool:

Deep  Cellular Penetration

Liposomal glutathione has the ability to effectively enter your cells and release trapped glutathione, enabling it to fulfill its intended function. Liposomal glutathione can deeply penetrate your cells and release the trapped glutathione to enable it to perform its function.

Reducing Oxidative Stress

Glutathione is a potent antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals in the skin. Free radicals are molecules produced as a result of metabolic processes and external factors like pollution and stress. By balancing free radicals, liposomal glutathione reduces oxidative stress, promoting a smooth and more even skin tone.

Depigmentation

Liposomal Glutathione proves instrumental in lightening our skin tone and unlocking a youthful glow due to its depigmentation properties. It works from within, helping remove toxins from your skin, resulting in a clearer and healthier skin.

Increasing Skin Elasticity

Liposomal Glutathione helps enhance skin elasticity, making your skin look younger. It acts better when mixed with Vitamin C. Vitamin C facilitates the development and repair of skin cells. Liposomal Glutathione aids in collagen production, which in turn boosts the production of hyaluronic acid in the body responsible for maintaining the skin’s hydration. This leads to firmer skin with higher elasticity, reducing the appearance of signs of aging.

Can Liposomal Glutathione Supplementation Really Benefit the Skin Long-Term?

Liposomal glutathione health supplements are oral nutrition support systems that help increase the glutathione levels in the body. Some of Tthese supplements are made of organic whole foods rich in antioxidants, and help release cellular waste and promote cell division, which has anti-aging effects. They neutralize free radicals to keep cells healthy and free from stress, delaying the process of aging.

Daily life stress, environmental damage, physical exertion, and an overworked or underperforming immune system can all result in oxidative stress. With regular use, liposomal glutathione supplements can help maintain the optimum level of glutathione antioxidants in the body and significantly diminish the aging effects, such as dull skin, wrinkles, and age spots. While these supplements are safe to take, doctor consultation is advised for those with pre-existing medical conditions.

5 Technologies That Are Changing The Face of Health Care

Published

on

By

Health care is a necessity for every person on the planet. While the specifics may look different around the world, there’s no doubt that new technologies are changing the face of medicine for the better – from AI to virtual reality and beyond.

Thanks to these five technologies, diagnosis, treatment, quality of life, and previously-thought impossible surgeries are being completed. Let’s learn more!

1. X-Ray Equipment

X-Ray equipment has long been hailed as a game-changer in medical practices. Thanks to this innovation, unseen illnesses can be treated and found early, improving chances of recovery and well-being.

With companies like Maven Imaging, this state-of-the-art technology provides accurate and refined imaging. The vast variety of X-Ray equipment across medical practices – including hospitals, veterinary clinics, dentist surgeries, and chiropractic practices – demonstrates X-Rays as an invaluable resource.

Now, with options in portability and hand-held devices, X-Rays can be used in war zones and reach previously hard-to-reach patients.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

While artificial intelligence often feels “alien”, it’s a valuable asset to the medical world. From diagnosing patients to transcribing medical documents, AI is a vital tool in the health care system.

Doctors now utilize AI to help diagnose previously complicated and time-sensitive conditions, such as in stroke patients or monitoring drops of oxygen in fetuses.

3. 3D Printing

People often associate 3D printing with the manufacturing of cars, clothes, or smaller gadgets. Its uses are limitless! However, 3D printing truly shines in the world of healthcare.

Thanks to 3D printing, doctors have created skin for burn victims and reconstructed faces for cancer patients or vehicle crash survivors. Without 3D printing, orthopedic implants wouldn’t be nearly as effective, nor would the developments in dentistry have been made.

4. Virtual Reality (VR)

You may have seen Virtual Reality, or VR, advertised as a fun family activity, escaping to unknown worlds or playing roleplaying games. However, VR has had a significant impact on health care. Using Virtual Reality, surgeons can now practice performing surgeries first without risk to their patients.

In 2022, a pair of conjoined twins separated thanks to VR technology. In an incredibly complicated modern-day surgery, their surgeons performed a 27-hour operation. Without the help of Virtual Reality, this dangerous separation procedure would’ve been riskier for the pair.

5. Monitors

It’s not just monitors on our phones that can track our steps and lead to healthier lifestyles! Recent developments in monitors have meant some people with diabetes no longer have to endure the arduous processes of measuring their insulin levels through a blood sample.

With a CGM (continuous glucose monitor), a worn sensor measures glucose levels. Those with low insulin then track their glucose levels on their smartphones; an alarm goes off when levels get too high or low. Thanks to these monitors, those with chronic conditions can have a better quality of life.

Final Thoughts

The healthcare field is constantly evolving and improving, thanks to exciting innovations like X-rays, 3D printing, and Virtual Reality – pointing to a brighter future for all.
