Well Hello Bette, Bette Midler Accepts The Outer Critic Award For Best Actress In A Musical

At the Outer Critics Circle Awards yesterday afternoon at Sardi’s, the Divine Ms. M came looking fabulous to accepted her award for Best Actress in a Musical for Hello, Dolly!. Bette Midler was all class sparkled with that sardonic wit we so love about her. Bette accepted with the following: “This is the hardest job I’ve ever had in my whole life. You people on Broadway are nuts. I’ve never encountered people who worked so hard and still are kind of cheerful about it. I mean, I’m riding all the way to the bank… I’ve never had to work this hard.”

You can see the fabulous pictures by JK Clarke and hear the whole speech thanks to Magda Katz.
