What Kind of Vacuum Cleaner You Should Have for Your House

Vacuum cleaners are essential parts of every home cleaning station. These mechanized devices have done much to ease out the cleaning process for many homeowners. However, cleaning with a vacuum cleaner may not be one of the most joyous tasks one has to perform. The bulky bodies along with loud noises can cause a lot of discomforts for users as well as for neighbors. It is important to select the vacuum cleaner which will not only suit your home cleaning needs but also make cleaning a breezy task.

●   Upright Vs Cylinder Vacuum Cleaners:

Upright and cylinder vacuum cleaners are two of the most commonly used vacuum cleaner types. On one hand, you have a wide-mouthed upright vacuum cleaner which offers a larger cleaning path. On the other hand, the cylinder vacuum cleaners are easier to be pulled around the house. You can have a close look at the reviews of both types at

When it comes to storage, cylinder vacuum cleaners are not much easy to store because of their bulky size and heavy weight build. If you have a back pain or you are unable to carry the load, cylinder vacuum cleaners are not a good pick for you. Upright vacuum cleaners have limited maneuverability under the furniture but some models have been designed to fix this problem.

●   Bagged or Bag-less Vacuum Cleaners:

After the introduction of Bagless Vacuum cleaners by Dyson, a strong competition has been observed between the bagged and bagless vacuum cleaners. The advantage of bagless vacuum cleaners is that they offer minimum loss of suction when the bag is filled. However if are an allergy sufferer, bagless vacuum cleaners are not a good pick for you as they are not sealed like bagged vacuum cleaners. They also cost more and require more maintenance than the bagged vacuum cleaners.

●   Handheld Vacuum Cleaners:

For quick cleaning of surfaces such as upholstery, surface cleaning of pet hair and bare floor cleaning, handheld vacuum cleaners are a good pick. Handheld vacuum cleaners may be corded or cordless. The major drawback associated with handheld vacuum cleaners is that they fail to deliver the power and performance as high as the canister or upright vacuum cleaners.

●   Canister Vacuum Cleaners:

Canister vacuum cleaners offer all-inclusive functionalities. These vacuum cleaners beat the upright brethren in terms of ease of use and high maneuverability. For cleaning of bare floors, carpets, stairs, upholstery and under the furniture cleaning, Canister vacuum cleaners are a good pick. Canister vacuum cleaners feature a detachable hose and cord which offer greater maneuverability. These are also quieter than upright vacuum cleaners. However, the parts are bulkier to store.

●   Robotic Vacuum Cleaners:

If you are looking for hands-free cleaning around the house, robot vacuum cleaners are suitable for you. Robotic vacuum cleaners are designed to transition between manual and automatic cleaning modes. Some have smart functionalities such as detection of light spots and cleaning under the furniture. You can also control them from smartphone apps. However, robot vacuum cleaners fail to offer deep cleaning of carpets and rugs.
