Finding Neverland At Inside Broadway: Part 1

Finding Neverland At Inside Broadway: Part 1

Inside Broadway has been celebrating 34 years of introducing New York City public school students to the magic and excitement of live theater. Bringing the Broadway experience annually to over 30,000 children in 85 schools throughout the five boroughs of our city these children experience for the first time the magic of Broadway.

Inside Broadway’s Executive Director Michael Presser brought children on Thursday, December 10th to Finding Neverland and the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46thStreet) for ‘Creating the Magic’ Program. Featuring the cast and production crew of the hit Broadway musicalthe special 80 minute program was offered at 10:45am and 1:15pm. From exciting set, lighting and sound demonstrations, musical performances from the cast and a Q&A session, attendees had a special behind-the-scenes look at a Broadway show featuring members of the Finding Neverland cast and production crew.

Based on the Academy Award®-winning film of the same name, this breathtaking show follows playwright J.M. Barrie as he summons the courage to become the writer – and the man – he yearns to be. Barrie finds the inspiration he’s been missing when he meets the beautiful widow Sylvia and her four young sons: Jack, George, Michael and Peter. Delighted by the boys’ hilarious escapades, Barrie conjures the magical world of Neverland and writes a play unlike any the high-society London theatergoers have ever seen. It’s a tremendous risk, but as Barrie himself has discovered—“When you believe, you can fly.” For more information on the show, please visit www.findingneverlandthemusical.com.

Since 1982, Inside Broadway (Founder/Executive Director, Michael Presser) has impacted the lives of nearly one million New York City public school students with its one-of-a-kind theatre arts and education programs that enrich, educate and foster new generations of theatergoers.

We are thrilled to offer a special behind-the-scenes look at the incredible Broadway show Finding Neverland to Inside Broadway’s participating NYC public school students. This show is a perfect fit for our Creating the Magic Program and is sure to be an amazing experience for all involved” says Inside Broadway’s Executive Director Michael Presser.
